Our men’s and women’s senior squads train and compete in a variety of boats during the season. All take part in major national head races and regattas and our top crews aspire to compete successfully at Henley. Our senior squads are currently around IM2 standard and actively looking for new members who wish to train and compete hard while holding down a job and having a social life.
We’re coached by a variety of volunteers with extensive experience and success at high-level regattas. For more detailed information about senior rowing at the club refer to the squad pages below:
We have a number of experienced rowers who row independently and in self-organised groups. Limited racking space is available for single sculls, while club pairs, doubles, fours and quads are also available for use.
We run regular learn-to-row courses for complete beginners throughout the year. Upon completion of the course those graduates who have shown the necessary level of commitment and aptitude will be invited to join the development squad.
Our development squad provides a great introduction to the competitive side of the sport, with coached weekend water and weekday small-boat sessions, and a more relaxed land training schedule.
The squad enters a variety of novice category head races and regattas, and rowers who demonstrate a high level of performance on land and water are given the opportunity to progress up into the senior squads.
We are always on the look out for new coxes; whether experienced or completely new to the sport. If you’re new to coxing, we’ll take you through the basics and get you out practicing on the water with an experienced coach at your side.

Our club is run by volunteers, with most of our coaches being former members of the main squads. There are many opportunities for non-rowing members to join in club activities.
